GOT CORKS?...

so...a little while ago...i bought some corks off ebay...i say some...but that's an understatment...considering there are more like 200...which would fall into the "buttload" category...anywho...they are super cool...because they're all from french and italian wines...oh là là...

well...needed to figure out what do with 'em...and remembered a little keychain craftie a gal pal told me about...wine not finally try it out?....hee hee..did you catch that?...see...i said wine instead of...never mind...

wine cork keychain

these could not be easier!...go to your hardware store...yes...shopping for craft supplies there again...and get some screw eyes....

screw eyes

then head to a craft store...and pick up some of those split key rings...these are the smaller size...

key rings

put the key ring on the screw eye...then screw into the cork...try to find the center...if not...you'll have that crafting while drinking look!...lol...

winecork keychain

and we're done!...told ya that one was easy!...i ended up cutting some key shapes using my cricut and a design studio cut file....then stamped with a very appropriate sentiment from pink by design girls just wanna have fun set...

another variation on the idea that would be a great wedding favor idea is using champagne corks!...then just attach a little tag with the happy couples names and date!...

****check out my linky party directory to see where i'm linking to this week!...

These would be great to have when the cop pulls you over for drinking and driving -- you can cork your bottle before getting out -- that way you don't get nailed for having an open container, too! LOL!!!! :)

I once picked up a bag of corks from a restaurant that had been saving them. I envisioned a small shopping sack and was shocked to find a huge, industrial sized garbage bag full of thousands of corks. It felt wrong to throw them away, but I'd never use all of them. Finally, I found an ad posted by a woman looking for corks for wedding centrepieces, so now she has more than she needs, too!

This is such a great idea! I've been thinking about buying some corks because I just like them... but I was making myself wait until I had a few more ideas! : )

It may just be that I'm a keychain freak, but I LOVE this!!! Unfortunately, I don't drink wine... I could start cooking with it... Of course, I'll have to buy the expensive stuff to get a cute cork... How, Greenbean, how MUCH money will this one cost me!!! LOL. Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to find the right cork (along with recipes to use the wine with! LOL)
