AN EGG-CELLENT CHALKBOARD IDEA

like many things that hibernated through the winter...it was time that my chalkboard paint was awoken from it's slumber...oh...how i have missed you!...

wasting no time...i put the paint straight to work!...got one of those big 'ol craft eggs from michaels and slapped two coats on there...then got to drawing!...nothing too fancy...but enough to give you the idea...

how cool would it be to use colored chalk?...i didn't have any on hand...or i so would've been using that!...

forgot to mention...this particular egg is 9" inches high...but they do have ones that are much smaller...i'm thinking the little guys would be great placecards for easter din din!....you know...give your table some eggs-tra holiday flair!...

****check out my linky party directory on the sidebar to see where i'm linking to this week!...

Great idea, as usual. I've always wanted to play with chalk paint, but don't can't get myself to.

Ha, I laughed when I saw this b/c I just put my post together to post tomorrow (previewed it today on my blog with some Easter crafts coming up for the week). I saw these on Etsy awhile back and knew I had to try it out. I went with plastic eggs, but I like the way they look with your wooden eggs. :O)

I love this idea. Did you know Crayola has some VERY cool 3D chalk? When you put two colors next to each other it looks like one is popping out of the driveway or chalkboard or wherever you draw. It might be something you would enjoy.

I like the idea of using this as a place marker on the dinner table. I haven't played with chalkboard paint yet but I think I will.
