A FIRECRACKER OF A BARRETTE

so...i realize that i might be a couple of days late on this...but hey...i really didn't make this until the 4th of july!....lol...anywho...i've been so wondering how to make these little korker bows...and found this great vid on youtube...believe it or not...you bake the ribbon!...funny thing...i use my oven more for craft reasons than actual food!...hee hee...to package this cutie up...i cut a star from the don juan cricut cart at 5 1/2" inches...really ended up doing 2...one from chipboard (aka cereal box) and then one with kraft stampin up cardstock...that way it was a bit thicker...did up some faux stitching to finish it off!...and boom...you end up with one little firecracker of a barrette!...

i'm going to have to check out that video later, thanks for sharing...I have always wanted to make bows like this for my daughter...I was just thinking that this would be cute on a card too...you could have it be the embellie on the card but then have it come off so it can be worn
