HERE'S YOUR FIVE SERVINGS OF FRUIT FOR THE DAY...

saw how to do these little cute stamped tea light candles on not so idle hands and just had to try them...the others were done with christmas type stamps...but i thought some fruit slices would be super cute!...

 

here's what to do to make your own!...

you need to start out with tissue paper, heat tool, tea light candles, and a super tiny hole punch...



then you'll need your inks, stamp (i used the fruit slice from stampin up's tart & tangy), pretzel bag, and whatever ribbon you want to tie 'em up with...



stamp your images on the tissue paper...



cut around images...making sure that the tissue paper will fit on the candle...



punch holes in center with tiny hole punch...



slip tissue paper onto the candle putting the wick through the hole...



here's all the candles ready to roll...



using your heat gun...and a wooden skewer...it gets hot!...adhere the tissue paper to the candle...it'll have a glossy almost melted look to 'em...make sure you get all the wrinkles out when heating...want it to be as smooth as possible...



let cool and there you go!...here's the finished product!...

****to package up...just slip candles into a pretzel bag and tie up!...oh...forgot to mention...these are really for decoration only...but...you could melt the wax and remove the design if you wanted to the burn candle...

well...you asked for a how to vid on the fishy barrettes...and i had to do what the people wanted!...lol...now keep in mind...this is my first vid...so bear with me!..and you can only watch it if you promise not to make fun of me!...i realize i have alot to learn on the movie making business...but i think from what a managed to actually get on camera...you'll be able to make one of these!...lol...enoy!...

TRES TRES CHIC...

(insert french accent here)...wanted to share something i whipped up earlier this week...it's a french memo board!...i've been wanting to try these for awhile and finally got off my derriere and did one...of course...in true greenbean fashion...i had to put my own spin on it...so i went the whompy way...





super duper easy to do!...i recycled an old canvas...pretty sure it was 16" x 20"...but of course any size will work...took some batting and double layered...to give it that puffy look...stapled that on...then trimmed the excess...attached my fabric...again...trimmed the excess...believe it or not...my fabric started out as a baby curtain i got at target on clearance...now...for the ribbon...traditionally...it will go in a lattice type style...but since i'm not traditional...i went in my own pattern...then...at the intersections of the ribbon...i used brads...with a petite bit of bling...but you can use buttons...flowers...whatever you want!...and voila!...one magnifique french memo board!...

so...in the meantime...while i'm putting the final decisions on the giveaway goodies...thought i'd show you another shrinky dink project...this one's from my bday slumber party...that's right...i'm in my 30's and had a slumber party!...lol...glass charms are such a clever way of keeping track of whose drink are whose...so this was my version...luckily no one had the same intials or i would've needed a plan b!...these were easy peasy to do...cut the circles on the cricut...punch a hole...slapped on the initial...and shrink away!...attach with a jump ring and ribbon and you're good to go!...

WHAT DID YOU SAY?...

so...i mentioned earlier that i love chalkboard paint...and i've been wanting a chalkboard in the kichen...but didn't want just any one...so i thought...how funny would it be to make one look like a caption bubble?...drew up a pattern...had a pal cut one out...and painted it up!...the funniest part...is when you stand near and it looks like it's your words!...yeah...it doesn't take much!...lol...
