<br />
so...i've been a huge fan of emma from <a href="http://www.creativetimeforme.com/">my creative time</a> and her stamps...yeah...they're the cutest...well...seems that i'm not the only one mad for mustaches...because she did a whole stamp set with 'em!...check it out!...<br />
<br />
<center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/7215193384/" title="What'sGrowingOn by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="What'sGrowingOn" height="400" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7086/7215193384_b8d9d78746_b.jpg" width="293" /></a></center><br />
<br />
hilarious!...right?...can't get much punnier than that!...there's also dies included too!...you know...those thin metal plates that you run through your die cutting machine...in a couple of cranks...you can have mustaches!...<br />
<br />
now...here's where i enter the fun...emma asked me to participate in a blog hop that's she having!...does she really know what she's getting in to?...don't think so...but too late now!...insert menacing laugh here...<br />
<br />
i put on my thinking 'stache...and decided to whip up some earrings!...hair they are!...<br />
<br />
<center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/7217918358/" title="shrinky dink mustache earrings by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="shrinky dink mustache earrings" height="264" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8022/7217918358_b56a4e6db9_b.jpg" width="400" /></a></center><br />
grabbed some shrinky dink material...you know me and my dinks...lol...cut two out with the included dies...colored 'em up with a permanent black maker...baked according to the directions...then when all done...slapped some earring backs on there and packaged 'em up!...of course had to add one of the sentiments!...<br />
<br />
<center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/7217919186/" title="shrinky dink mustache earrings by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="shrinky dink mustache earrings" height="400" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7233/7217919186_0a831cd99f_b.jpg" width="307" /></a></center><br />
and here's where it really gets good!...keep reading!...<br />

thanks for stopping by!...hope you had a 'stashtastic time with the bean!...i know that i loved having ya!...ya'll come back now...ya hear!...lol....and make sure to check out all the wonderful my creative time design team members blogs!...greenbeanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030219179851778095noreply@blogger.com134tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5575019416329780587.post-75120188172786018672012-03-17T17:23:00.058-04:002012-03-17T23:20:33.211-04:00PINCH PROOF POLISHwell...'tis the season for green!...and realized that i needed a little something something to make me pinch proof...so i decided to do up my own glitter nail polish!...<br />
<br />
<center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6845020358/" title="diy glitter nail polish by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="diy glitter nail polish" height="300" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7061/6845020358_08d633a389_b.jpg" width="400" /></a></center><br />
best part...only three supplies are needed!...grab some clear nail polish...got mine at target for .99 cents...glitter...you can use whatever size you want...but i've been eyeing up this tinsel glitter in my collection for a while...and a cake decorating tip...mine came from michaels...a .99 cent price tag again...lol...<br />
<br />
<center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6844760332/" title="diy glitter nail polish by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="diy glitter nail polish" height="400" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7061/6844760332_48b021dcb3_b.jpg" width="380" /></a></center><br />
brush a little of the polish on a paper towel...this gives the glitter some room and avoid an overflow...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6990885871/" title="diy glitter nail polish by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="diy glitter nail polish" height="300" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7054/6990885871_2ca2f05d93_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
grab your decorating tip...this is your funnel...i found this to be the best because a little remover won't hurt when cleaning it up...and it stays put in the bottle...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6844761178/" title="diy glitter nail polish by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="diy glitter nail polish" height="311" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7204/6844761178_9b2463f8ff_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
then start adding your glitter!...if you're funnel clogs up...i just use a toothpick to "help" it in the bottle...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6990886713/" title="diy glitter nail polish by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="diy glitter nail polish" height="312" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7046/6990886713_a9745c14d5_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
fill about a 1/3 of the bottle with glitter...put the cap on and start shaking!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6844762024/" title="diy glitter nail polish by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="diy glitter nail polish" height="320" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7070/6844762024_92b44dd16f_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
all done!...<br />
<br />
<center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6990888173/" title="diy glitter nail polish by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="diy glitter nail polish" height="400" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7054/6990888173_fc17819eda_b.jpg" width="346" /></a></center><br />
now you'll have a little luck 'o the polish too!...and keep those pesky pinchers far away!...but don't stop at st. paddy's day!...imagine all the times that some glitter will make it better!...<br />
<br />
oh...forgot to say...that the glitter will keep sinking to the bottom...but just give a little shake, shake , shake before using and you'll be fine!...also...depending on what kind of glitter you use...it can turn the polish a light shade of a color...don't worry...it's so faint...you can't even tell once on your nails!...<br />
<br />

<br />
that's right...this guy is now sporting the the lastest fashion in winter wick wear...oh you didn't know?...teeny tiny toboggans and scarves are the rage!...and with just a couple of easy steps...you can have this candle couture too!...<br />
<br />
<center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6532889899/" title="teeny tiny toboggan by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="teeny tiny toboggan" height="640" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7144/6532889899_0d6c20a3d3_b.jpg" width="400" /></a></center><br />
take an old sweater and turn it inside out...then cut about 6" inches off the sleeve...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6532891887/" title="step one by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step one" height="280" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7009/6532891887_b881ca05b5_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
gather up the rough end and wrap a rubber band around there...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6532893681/" title="step 2 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 2" height="300" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7006/6532893681_439a1ec0d8_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
turn right side out and flip up the finished edge...now isn't that just the cutest darn thing?...pretty brrr-illiant if you ask me!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6532895577/" title="finished by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="finished" height="300" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7011/6532895577_5a4cc9bd7a_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
plop on top of your candle and finish 'er off with a ribbon scarf!...now it's all ready for gifting!...but you don't have go running to your closets and start cutting up sweaters...the more i thought about it...using socks would do the trick too!...<br />
<br />
<b>****check out my <a href="http://thegreenbeanscrafterole.blogspot.com/p/parties.html">linky party directory</a> to see where i'm linking to this week!...</b>greenbeanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030219179851778095noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5575019416329780587.post-23392949065817283852011-12-13T10:52:00.000-05:002011-12-13T10:52:50.838-05:00A TART-WARMING GIFTso...had some leftover wax i had from candle making that's been staring at me...after some thought...gathered up what supplies i needed and got my tart on!...i must say...i'm pretty darn proud!...they came out great and smell so amazing!...<br />
<br />
now...the hardest thing about these little cuties is actually bringing yourself to melting them!...because if you keep reading...you'll see that making them is quite easy!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6495555773/" title="soy tarts by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soy tarts" height="317px" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7022/6495555773_7679c33231_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
you'll need some wax flakes...got mine at michaels...they're soy...but normal paraffin would work too...and some fragrance oil specific for candles...it will be in the same area that the wax is...you really want to use the candle fragrance because it has a higher flashpoint...and although there won't be any flames near it...you still don't want the chance of fire...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6495557987/" title="soy tarts by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soy tarts" height="300px" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7017/6495557987_40e3c84cec_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
grab a measuring cup...then some type of silicone mold...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6495559623/" title="soy tarts by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soy tarts" height="253px" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7151/6495559623_6997cfea47_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
fill 'er up with the wax flakes...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6495561481/" title="soy tarts by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soy tarts" height="300px" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7029/6495561481_42ac601cfc_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
then pop in the microwave according to the instructions...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6495563609/" title="soy tarts by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soy tarts" height="300px" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7020/6495563609_ea22bb606e_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
when all melted...add the fragrance oil...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6495565097/" title="soy tarts by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soy tarts" height="300px" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7031/6495565097_1f857cf068_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
start pouring in the molds!...i filled each cavity half way up...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6495566887/" title="soy tarts by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soy tarts" height="300px" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7033/6495566887_9dc612db74_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
keep going until you run out of wax!...then sit aside and let cool...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6495568691/" title="soy tarts by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soy tarts" height="300px" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7151/6495568691_78d9ef28c5_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
look at the finished product!...that mold had tons of detail!...a tiny work of tart!...lol...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6502081251/" title="SOY TART by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="SOY TART" height="300px" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7174/6502081251_376f07e7ec_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
packaging couldn't be easier...grabbed a tin and just stacked 'em in there!...didn't even have to decorate since this one's festive enough already!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6495555773/" title="soy tarts by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soy tarts" height="317px" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7022/6495555773_7679c33231_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
i kept mine on the simple side...with no color...you can buy the chunks of color wax and make 'em however you want....but for me...the snowflake mold and jack frost scent made the perfect holiday combo!...at least the house smells christmas-y...because it's certainly not looking it!...lol...<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6455436593/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="gingerbread rice krispie treats by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="gingerbread rice krispie treats" height="400" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7146/6455436593_bc14c38598_b.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br />
picked up some of these yummy gingerbread flavored marshmallows and got to thinking...that i could totally whip up some rice krispie treats!...just used them in the <a href="http://www.ricekrispies.com/#/recipes/the-original-treats">recipe</a> instead of the regular ones!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6455439693/" title="gingerbread rice krispie treats by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="gingerbread rice krispie treats" height="300" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7030/6455439693_fb826f7307_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
didn't want to cut into boring 'ol squares...so i grabbed a shaped cookie cutter and got working!...here's all the little gingies!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6455442257/" title="gingerbread rice krispie treats by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="gingerbread rice krispie treats" height="300" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7013/6455442257_dfd287e4f7_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
then packaged up in some cello baggies and topped off with a festive striped ribbon!...now...of course...you can decorate up these little guys more if you want...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6455436593/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="gingerbread rice krispie treats by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="gingerbread rice krispie treats" height="400" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7146/6455436593_bc14c38598_b.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br />
these ended up being such a fun festive twist on the rice krispie treat...and are oh so rum pum pum pum yummy!....<br />

<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6316248854/" title="bubbling sugar scrub by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="bubbling sugar scrub" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6105/6316248854_62a448fa21_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
grab some sugar...and then your shower gel...mmmm...banana nut bread....<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6316239152/" title="step 1 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 1" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6230/6316239152_ffeb821a20_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
fill up your container with some sugar and start squirting in the shower gel...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6315723303/" title="step 2 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 2" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6219/6315723303_2508f0d834_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
that's about enough...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6315724537/" title="step 3 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 3" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6019/6315724537_f221b6eaa2_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
mix 'er up!...now if at anytime...you feel it's too thick...then add some more shower gel...if it's too runny...add more sugar...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6315725577/" title="step 4 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 4" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6222/6315725577_e2a3cfda3c_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
all done!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6316243916/" title="step 5 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 5" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6224/6316243916_736daa3103_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
since this batch is for gifting...i'm putting it in a purtier container...this is one i had on hand...but you can pick these up at almost any craft store...just take a looksie in the soap section...oh...and i'd suggest using plastic...because glass and the shower don't really mix...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6315727393/" title="step 6 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 6" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6216/6315727393_6b59ebf252_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
just spoon it in until it's all filled!...and if you're lucky...you made some extra to keep for yourself...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6315729447/" title="step 8 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 8" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6116/6315729447_fcdf2ca69f_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
here's a test run on the arm...see all that scrubby goodness?...yeah...imagine that every where!...that's the reason for using the shower gel!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6316247668/" title="see all that scrubby goodness?... by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="see all that scrubby goodness?..." height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6037/6316247668_43ee1d59bb_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
i did some really simple decorating by doing just a stripe of patterned paper tape around the container...then found a great little flower to add the finishing touch!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6316277970/" title="sugar scrub by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="sugar scrub" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6048/6316277970_f8b1040896_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
now remember...this stuff isn't just for gift giving...this is fab to have on hand all the time!...<br />

<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6274297204/" title="candy brain by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="candy brain" height="331" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6211/6274297204_328f8a5a2c_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
see...how great these turned out?...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6274297860/" title="candy brain by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="candy brain" height="323" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6094/6274297860_e0bb28e05d_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
yeah...there's a couple bubbles in there...maybe i could've tapped the mold a little bit to get the air out...note to self for next time....<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6273773453/" title="candy brain by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="candy brain" height="340" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6033/6273773453_38f5a99f7b_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
decided to package 'em up to look like specimens in the laboratory...perhaps from young frankenstein's?....lol...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6273771547/" title="candy brain by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="candy brain" height="352" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6097/6273771547_2ca7260b85_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
of course...chocolate can be used too!...but since i had the vanilla on hand...it was a no brainer to use that...insert evil laugh here....<br />

<br />
package 'em up all up in a take out box...or just do singles...<strike>witch</strike> which ever way you like!...but make sure to top off with a boo-tiful mangled bow...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6255001055/" title="misfortune cookies by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="misfortune cookies" height="339" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6160/6255001055_faf4a4d649_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
by taking some patterned paper and using <a href="http://www.cricutholiday.com/2011/02/fortune-cookie-valentines.html">THIS</a> tutorial....you can whip these up in no time!...grab some spooky sentiment stamps for the fortunes...or just print out your own!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6255000063/" title="misfortune cookies by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="misfortune cookies" height="271" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6167/6255000063_ebd2f9b951_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />

<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6196711674/" title="009 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="009" height="392px" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6153/6196711674_c38a1cf213_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
then bam!...is that really a chalkboard?...sure is!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6196711248/" title="007 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="007" height="285px" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6176/6196711248_a371c3fdc1_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
picked up a plastic skull from target in the halloween secion for five bucks...and slapped two coats of chalkboard paint on there!...as hard as it was to cover up the glow in the dark awesome-ness that the skull offered...the end result shows me i made the <strike>write</strike> right decision!...<br />
<br />
<b>****check out my <a href="http://thegreenbeanscrafterole.blogspot.com/p/parties.html">linky party directory</a> to see where i'm linking to this week!...</b>greenbeanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030219179851778095noreply@blogger.com15tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5575019416329780587.post-10328210259923964312011-09-25T12:55:00.000-04:002011-09-25T12:55:24.005-04:00IS THERE SOMETHING IN MY HAIR?yeah...don't know about you guys...but anytime a bug lands in my hair...i freak the freak out!...well...came up with a way to get the insect chic look without all the heebie jeebies of the real thing...<br />
<br />
go grab yourself some bugus rubberi...rubber bugs for those who are not entomologists...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6181814982/" title="bug barrette by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="bug barrette" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6176/6181814982_513bebec72_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
and attach to a barrette blank with some super glue...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6181814128/" title="bug barrette by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="bug barrette" height="278" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6155/6181814128_1538b8aa49_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
if you want to cute them up...is that even possible?...anywho...you can cover the barrette with some grosgrain ribbon...then attach the bug...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6181292035/" title="bug barrettes by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="bug barrettes" height="284" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6166/6181292035_b91defc609_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
i really wanted to show these barrettes in action...but my model (the dog) was more worried about getting her belly rubbed than doing a photo shoot...so you'll just have to use your imagination...<br />
<br />

<br />
decided to do up a a picture "frame" with a tennis ball...just by putting a cut in the top of the ball...you'll be able to slide a pic in there!...and before you ask...yes...that probably is the most current pic of the bean...lol....<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6109460345/" title="tennis ball picture "frame" by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="tennis ball picture "frame"" height="400" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6072/6109460345_3724066080_b.jpg" width="392" /></a><br />
<br />
thought i'd serve up the how to on this project...believe me...it'll take longer to read than do it!...just grab yourself some tennis balls and a serated knife...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6109460833/" title="step 1 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 1" height="400" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6187/6109460833_7aa2fec0c0_b.jpg" width="390" /></a><br />
<br />
stab the top of the ball...don't worry...it'll only hurt for a second...then cut a little bit in each direction from the initial <strike>wound</strike> slit....<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6110008128/" title="step 2 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 2" height="350" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6210/6110008128_7d0152d5bb_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
the surgery when all done...now just grab a pic and slide in there!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6109461765/" title="step 3 by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="step 3" height="338" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6207/6109461765_bfc9e6d6d3_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
i think i aced it!...now...those annoying serve noises are optional when doing this project...i decided against it...only because the neighbors were out...but i did wear a head and wristbands...kidding!...or am i?...<br />
<br />

<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6042002867/" title="stamped flowers by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="stamped flowers" height="323px" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6130/6042002867_41496218fe_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
the reason for stazon ink?...that way it won't bleed...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6042548754/" title="stamped flowers by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="stamped flowers" height="300px" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6089/6042548754_9e0fd32b84_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
stamp for whatever occassion!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6042549742/" title="stamped flowers by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="stamped flowers" height="300px" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6184/6042549742_c0ee6fc2e6_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
best thing....if you mess up...just snip off the petal and start over!...no silk flowers?...paper will work just as great!...<br />
<br />
<b>****check out my <a href="http://thegreenbeanscrafterole.blogspot.com/p/parties.html">linky party directory</a> to see where i'm linking to this week!...</b>greenbeanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030219179851778095noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5575019416329780587.post-41335515303868233122011-08-19T09:06:00.002-04:002011-08-19T10:38:31.268-04:00GOT CORKS?...so...a little while ago...i bought some corks off ebay...i say some...but that's an understatment...considering there are more like 200...which would fall into the "buttload" category...anywho...they are super cool...because they're all from french and italian wines...oh là là...<br />
<br />
well...needed to figure out what do with 'em...and remembered a little keychain craftie a gal pal told me about...wine not finally try it out?....hee hee..did you catch that?...see...i said wine instead of...never mind...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6042544268/" title="wine cork keychain by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="wine cork keychain" height="273px" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6191/6042544268_42e7856362_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
these could not be easier!...go to your hardware store...yes...shopping for craft supplies there again...and get some screw eyes....<br />
<br />
<center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6042002013/" title="screw eyes by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="screw eyes" height="400px" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6087/6042002013_5237d2da5f_b.jpg" width="300px" /></a></center><br />
then head to a craft store...and pick up some of those split key rings...these are the smaller size...<br />
<br />
<center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6042545918/" title="key rings by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="key rings" height="400px" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6086/6042545918_bc13a75247_b.jpg" width="300px" /></a></center><br />
put the key ring on the screw eye...then screw into the cork...try to find the center...if not...you'll have that crafting while drinking look!...lol...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/6042000169/" title="winecork keychain by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="winecork keychain" height="366px" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6068/6042000169_9d91dc37a5_b.jpg" width="400px" /></a><br />
<br />
and we're done!...told ya that one was easy!...i ended up cutting some key shapes using my cricut and a design studio cut file....then stamped with a very appropriate sentiment from <a href="http://www.pinkbydesignstore.com/Stamps/Girls-Just-Wanna-Have-Fun-p145.html">pink by design</a> girls just wanna have fun set...<br />
<br />
another variation on the idea that would be a great wedding favor idea is using champagne corks!...then just attach a little tag with the happy couples names and date!...<br />
<br />

<div style="margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVkCiLY8j5BsSpHhf-f3Gj1A0je1NS5ZSmfgpa68xt5BdkgatIPe_iU8K-06sxwRe4vPtNOkBM3Dh0vnpwO8xZwvCKoKqAqX6q4tjf-Qi6dDHcxiOD-ZCj4ul9V4D54gGjFxBv7UjV_8aD/s1600/075.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVkCiLY8j5BsSpHhf-f3Gj1A0je1NS5ZSmfgpa68xt5BdkgatIPe_iU8K-06sxwRe4vPtNOkBM3Dh0vnpwO8xZwvCKoKqAqX6q4tjf-Qi6dDHcxiOD-ZCj4ul9V4D54gGjFxBv7UjV_8aD/s400/075.JPG" /></a> </div>got out my cricut and songbird cartridge for this project...i love the birdie font and thought that it was the perfect compliment to the robin's egg blue tile color!...using some vinyl...i cut the bird at 3 1/2" inches...then centered the image on the tile...i did't want the sides etched...so i took painter's tape and ran that all around the edges...then piled on a hefty layer of etching cream...let it set for the 5 minutes and rinsed off... <br />
<br />
<div style="margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihhhTxqNiIwDNyHaHmfrNARV5YvfyT8z38BjornEGFJ5AKEOpXr77YSZ6Jpa8YEW7iwUNKq2ZNBJnfJW6HRMJBxt5CDE8-wrC5DUwVDmgebdnZOtHg9FPlGS8AK7Wfr1ghkFtZGamv8eiI/s1600/045.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihhhTxqNiIwDNyHaHmfrNARV5YvfyT8z38BjornEGFJ5AKEOpXr77YSZ6Jpa8YEW7iwUNKq2ZNBJnfJW6HRMJBxt5CDE8-wrC5DUwVDmgebdnZOtHg9FPlGS8AK7Wfr1ghkFtZGamv8eiI/s400/045.JPG" /></a> </div>using cork contact paper...i cut a square that was a 1/4" inch smaller to put on the bottom...the contact paper had plenty of adhesive....so no extra was needed...that cork's not going anywhere! <br />
<br />

<br />
the mold i used was really a lollipop mold...but hey...who says it just has to be used for candy?...so following the same method that i did <a href="http://thegreenbeanscrafterole.blogspot.com/2010/07/wash-your-mouth-out.html">here</a> for the soapsicles...when it came time to pouring...i used the lollipop mold and inserted sticks...let 'em cool...then popped out!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/5970749505/" title="soap 'staches by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soap 'staches" height="348" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6005/5970749505_67cbe6e8da_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
now...you don't always have to insert the lolly stick...this bunch i did without 'em...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/5971306740/" title="soap 'staches by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="soap 'staches" height="300" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6016/5971306740_7a2b3316f4_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
i'd love to stick around...but i really moustache...and take a bath!...<br />
<br />

<br />
well...in micheals one day...my home away from home...ended up in the jewelry aisle and saw some wire hoops...bam...it hit me...i'd whip up some wine charms with those guitar picks!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/5943464582/" title="GUITAR PICK WINE CHARMS by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="GUITAR PICK WINE CHARMS" height="339" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6141/5943464582_f234cd6bca_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
just punched a hole in each of the picks...attached a jump ring...then my wire hoop...all done...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/5942909609/" title="GUITAR PICK WINE CHARM by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="GUITAR PICK WINE CHARM" height="291" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6144/5942909609_f8a10f3df8_b.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
now each guest will be able to "pick" a charm and party like a rock star!...<br />

<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/5919782288/" title="paintchip notebooks by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="paintchip notebooks" height="365" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6148/5919782288_c451883973.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
with the help of my <a href="http://binditall.com/Products.html">zutter bind it all</a> i whipped these up in no time!...the front is one of my many paintchips...the middle...copier paper cut to match the size...the back...some chipboard also cut to size....punched holes in everything...then cut my wires for the binding and went to town!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/5919221237/" title="paintchip notebooks... by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="paintchip notebooks..." height="334" src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6023/5919221237_85a385de57.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
the paintchips i used were 4" inches by 5" inches...so they make nice sized notepads...sad thing...is even if i made a hundred these little rainbow cuties...i'd still have paintchips leftover...yeah...told you i had a buttload!....lol...<br />

<br />
i must say...i'm pretty darn proud of what i came up!...i think i might've actually squealed when i was all done!....because usually what's in my head...isn't at all like the finished product...but this time it was!...lol...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/5897328411/" title="star spangled scraps by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="star spangled scraps" height="300" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5065/5897328411_89a3b41c9c.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
grabbed some red scraps of paper...and cut into 1/2" inch strips that are 5" inches long...then created the white "stripes" with my stamp...topped off with some puffies star embellies from ki memories....did up a little white stitching with my signo pen...and called this challenge done!...<br />
<br />
hope everyone has a happy fourth!....just like the card says!...greenbeanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030219179851778095noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5575019416329780587.post-85491248639195291542011-06-25T18:42:00.003-04:002011-07-03T13:22:13.075-04:00STAR SPANGLED BATH SALTSso...with trying to keep the crafties patriotic...decided to do up some star spangled bath salts!...you know...because tub time needs to be festive too!...the smell?...apple pie of course!...because you can't get more american than that!...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49758126@N06/5870990034/" title="star spangled bath salts by greenbeanscrafterole, on Flickr"><img alt="star spangled bath salts" height="400" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5317/5870990034_c9e99d6654.jpg" width="398" /></a><br />
<br />
grabbing items that i have on hand...i was able to whip up this in no time!...but even if you have to gather the goods...still won't take too much time away from the firework festivities...<br />
<br />
you'll need some bath salts...i used dead sea salts...but epsom salts would work just as well!...a container for giving...soap colorants...would not use food colors...because you don't want the actual tub turning patriotic...fragrance oil...and a little something to make it all sparkle!...<br />
<br />
i filled my container with the uncolored salts...just to get a measurement of how much i'll need...then dump out and divide into thirds...i found the easiest way to color and scent is just by placing the salts in ziploc baggies...in one...drop some red color in there...followed by fragrance oil...then shake shake shake...making sure the salts are all dyed...if you need a brighter color...just add some more drops!...repeat this with the blue...then fragrance the white...<br />
<br />
now it's time to fill the container!...the trick for this...just snip the corner of the ziplock bag (like you do with frosting) and start layering!...top of with some stars or something just as sparkley!...the stuff i used was from christmas!...lol...<br />
<br />
there ya go!...and you know what?...i'm pretty sure that uncle sam himself would even soak in these!...<br />
